Debbie Lozier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Lozier, was presented the Phillips Cecillian Award by Mr. and Mrs. Freeland Phillips, Warsaw, at the conclusion of the Warsaw Community Schools Spring Choral Festival at the local high school. The award is made to the outstanding member of the WCHS Choir and is based on attitude, scholarship, loyalty and musicianship.

Mrs. Paul Oberli, East Main Street, entertained the Progressive Homemakers Club Thursday afternoon. "How to Buy Shoes," was discussed by Mrs. A.H. Mills, who gave the project lesson. Mrs. Charles Ray spoke on the subject, "Motherhood" for the meditation and read a poem, "The Living Presence."

When an auto truck last evening struck a stray dog near the Winona Interurban station and apparently killed the animal, a crowd of spectators assembled and expressed sympathy for the animal and were on the verge of taking after the cruel autoist, who drove away hurriedly. As the crowd began dispersing the dog suddenly regained consciousness and walked away without a limp. When a drayman clucked to his horse nearby, the dog came dashing up wagging his tail, greatly to the surprise of probably a crowd of 40 persons.
