Sabrina Handgen, 12, sixth grader, is the Leesburg School fifth- and sixth-grade spelling champion and will compete in the county contest in Warsaw Saturday. Sabrina is the daughter of Edward and Nancy Handgen, Rt. 7, Valley Springs, Warsaw. The Leesburg runner-up is Mark Archer, son of Norman and Joan Archer, Leesburg.

Players for six tables enjoyed the card party given Thursday evening at the Eagles' hall by the Auxiliary to the Eagles' Lodge. In euchre Mrs. Harold Nine and Mrs. George Mabry were the winners. Mrs. Ben Herscher and Mrs. Ralph Byrer were awarded the prizes in bridge. Mrs. Clara Godfrey received the penny prize.
