Six Warsaw Community High School students participated in a public speaking contest sponsored by the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District. The theme was "Take Pride In Indiana - Protect Our Resources, Utilize Opportunities." Winning was Kip Goebel; second place to Lisa Anspach and third place to Michelle Beam. As the winner, Goebel represented the county in the regional contest at Oregon-Davis High School.

Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Yenner celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Tuesday. A dinner was given in their honor by Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Smith, Warsaw. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Yenner, Mrs. Gambee, Mrs. B.H. Yenner and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yenner and son, Virgil.
