Two Indiana State Troopers assigned to Kosciusko County have been honored with safe driving awards presented at the recent annual spring inspections conducted at the Ligonier Post. Trooper Larry Yeiter, Atwood, and Trooper Gerald Waikel, North Webster, were presented awards for 750,000 miles of safe driving. Trooper Donald Sand, Warsaw, recently received a similar driving award.

A couple weeks ago Charles Rickel bought a new hat at Hull House. He wore it to church the next Sunday and someone changed hats with him, leaving an old one and not the same size. Mr. Rickel had his name in his hat and thought the party who had it would notice the difference and return it, but he didn't, so Rickel put an ad in the paper. The hat came back to church the next Sunday and who do you think had it, none other than Ernest Hull, the father of Max, who had sold the hat.

Another woman has proved her sagacity sufficient to compete with men in the field of law in Fulton County, and as a result the number of women admitted to practice before the Fulton country bar has been increased 50 percent.
