    William and Adria Orr, Grace Village Retirement Center, looked over cards in honor of their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple were married May 29, 1920. They have two children, William F.O. Orr, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mrs. John (Sara Ellen) Buhrt, Milford; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is a retired farmer and had organized REMC. She is a former teacher and employee of the Times-Union.

    Three pupils, Keith Kaufman, Sandra Hochstetler and Scott Sechrist, of the second grade at Atwood Elementary School escorted their teacher, Margaret Kessler, before the assembly in the gymnasium on the last day of school and presented her with a gift. Kessler retired after 38 years in the teaching profession with the last 18 at Atwood.

    Nick Mallers, local theater manager, announced that the new "Drive-In" open-air theater will be completed by June 1. This new enterprise is located one and one-quarter miles west of Warsaw on U.S. Highway 30 and will have ample space for 600 cars.

Approximate cost is $50,000, and will contain the most modern equipment for this type of theater, including individual speakers for each car.

    At the beginning of the band concert in North Webster the electric lights went out and the town was left in darkness. There was a large crowd in North Webster and the concert was continued with the aid of automobile headlights.
