    Tippecanoe Valley High School has announced that Kris Perry has been named valedictorian and Jerrod Feldman has been named salutatorian for the graduating class of 1989.

Perry, Rt. 5, Warsaw, is the daughter of Marion Ebersole and John Perry. Feldman is the son of John and Janice Feldman, Rt. 2, Akron.

    U.S. Air Force Sergeant Connie J. Golden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale E. Thompson, Rt. 1, Leesburg, has been named Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter in her unit at Havre Air Force Station, Mont.

Sergeant Golden, an administrative specialist with a unit of the Aerospace Defense Command, was selected for her superior duty performance, leadership and exemplary conduct.

    Work of pouring concrete on the new super U.S. highway 30 started this week, just east of Larwill. Stakes for the actual paving have been set for most of the distance between Larwill and Pierceton, it was reported.

    Chief of Police C.W. Douglas, Warsaw, yesterday won third place in a big trap shoot of amateurs and professionals at Logansport. Douglas broke 142 out of 150, being third high gun among the amateurs. High professional score was 147.
