    Wagon Wheel Playhouse artistic director Tom Roland inadvertently neglected to take down 10-year-old Jody Thompson's phone number when she auditioned for a part in the musical "South Pacific." He wanted her to play the part of Moa so badly, he advertised in several area newspapers until she was located in Warsaw.

    Two Warsaw Tiger golfers were recently honored by coach Joe Harris. Denny Hepler received the Elks' Award, given to the top Tiger golfer, and Craig Light received the Fred Keesling Memorial Award, given to the golfer at state who best demonstrates excellent mental attitude, leadership, scholarship and golf ability.

    Winona Lake assembly employees Wednesday afternoon spent a busy four hours swan hunting in the lake. They captured two pairs and transferred them to the pond on Park Avenue. The reason it was late in the season transferring the birds was due to a delay in having the pond cleaned out.

    At a saving in $50 per month for watchmen's salaries, the Big Four railroad today put into operation the new large street corsing watchman's tower at Center Street, which will guard traffic at four crossings.
