    The American Red Cross held a two-day blood-mobile at R.R. Donnelley and Sons Co. One hundred eleven prospective donors came to the self-contained unit, with 101 units of blood being drawn. Seven donors came for the first time and pins were awarded to six individuals. Judy Walters received a two-gallon pin, while Ralph Smith, Rex Reid, Al Rucka, Chris Lauster and Robert Huffman received one-gallon pins.

    Nine county residents are among the 3,459 Purdue University students who achieved distinguished student rank during the second semester of the 1973-74 school year.

Those making the list are: Alan Howard Welch and James Edward Wise, both of Mentone; Patricia Mikel, Mark Alan Treesh and Craig Lewis Tucker, of Milford; Belinda Sue Bryant, Holly Diane Langohr and Jean Ann Sellers, of Pierceton; and Dallas Devon Ummel, of Syracuse.

Gresso, Cal Gresso, Buddie Hodges, Dr. Luse,W. A. Winebrenner, W. H. Wainwright, Dr. Fred Fitch, Raymond Dye, Paul Coffin, Albert Miner and Harn Neal.
