God's Highway to Heaven Church held the annual Make A Difference Teen Banquet May 25 at Ponderosa. Warsaw Mayor Jeff Plank and Estalena Gayheart presented the Teenagers of the Year award to Kelly Still and Tim Hatcher.

Debbie Kennedy, 15, of 302 Ramar Dr., Warsaw, was saving her money to buy a new bicycle but she was the lucky winner of a 10-speed bike during the recent "Free Wheels Miss America Shoe Contest," sponsored by the B&B Shoe Store, 113 S. Buffalo St. Dick Moore, store manager of the store, presented the bike to Debbie.

City Officer Thomas VanDeGrift made a prize "catch" early Wednesday morning when he discovered that a motorist he stopped for speeding on East Center Street at 12:35 a.m. was none other than John Ed Olson, better known as Ole Olson of the famous Olson and Johnson comedy team.

Mrs. Earl Burwell entertained 10 little girls on Saturday for her daughter, Mary Ellen Burwell, it being her fifth birthday. They spent the afternoon playing out-of-door games, skipping the rope and swinging. They toasted marshmallows over a furnace built in an embankment. Mrs. Burwell served ice cream and cake. Mary Ellen received many pretty little gifts from her friends.
