Now, 63 years since its original construction, the former Spink Wawasee Hotel is newly developed as the Wawasee Spink Condominiums.

    Fred Helfrich, a 1966 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, has assumed the position of assistant manager of Helfrich's, 109 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, joining his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Helfrich, in the operation of the women's apparel outlet here.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Whittenberger, of Akron, became grandparents twice on the same day last week.

A baby boy was born to their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Whittenberger, of Akron. On the same day a baby girl was born to their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cox, also of Akron. Both mothers and their children are at the Woodlawn Hospital at Rochester.

    Warsaw firemen had a big time yesterday at the annual volunteer firemen's convention at Fort Wayne. Among the Warsaw firemen there were John LeHew, Frank Randells, Russell Phillips, C.B. Moon, Charles Deardorff, W.A. Winebrenner, Herbert Thompson, Harry Fawley, Walter Banghart, Mel Randelis, Bert Sellers, Howard Hemmer, Tom Holbrook and John Carroll.
