Notre Dame basketball coach Digger Phelps was shown with Eric Ewert, Warsaw, after Ewert won a free throw shooting contest as part of the Irish basketball camp Ewert was attending. He was one of nearly 350 youngsters attending the camp on the Notre Dame campus.

When the new U.S. 30 bypass is opened around Warsaw - presumably on or about Aug. 4 - the temporary access road that is presently being used east of the city will be retained for traffic going to and from the Lakes Village Shopping Center.

Walt Disney hit, "Make Mine Music," packed in the oldsters at the Centennial. Can hear folks singing bits of "Two Silhouettes," Dinah Shore's number in the movie, and some brave persons endeavoring to imitate Nelson Eddy's singing from "Willie the Whale," strictly high-brow music.

There will be no gambling at the Kosciusko County Fair this fall, stated officials of the fair association today when they appeared befoe the county council and asked for the annual appropriation for cash prizes. The council voted $1,200 to the fair. Eliminating gambling, wheels of chance, etc., will deplete the fair revenue some $1,500.
