    Professional golfer Denny Hepler of Warsaw, who played on the PGA tour the past two years, has accepted a position at Stonehenge Golf Club as golf professional and teaching pro. Hepler has played professionally the past 10 years, including several years on the Asian and PGA tours.

    Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. board members wrapped up plans Monday night to build a new high school by approving building plans and specifications, authorizing Indianapolis architect E.I. Brown to submit the plans to state officials and approving a notice to bidders on the construction job.

    The first log to be sawed into lumber at the new mill operated in connection with the Claypool Basket and Box Company plant was cut up at noon Wednesday. Everything is now in readiness to do all kinds of sawing and the company is still needing proficient help to assist in the manufacturing of their baskets.
