    The Warsaw city school planned to issue bonds totaling $20,000 to purchase the Armory building, according to school attorneys. The brick and steel building was put up for sale in 1944 by the State Armory Board.

    Warsaw city councilmen appeared ready to pass a proposed resolution to centralize the operations of the city fire department and reduce the number of men on the force when they met in council chambers. Fire chief C.B. Moon told the council that many of the department volunteers seldom showed up at a fire and that they should be dismissed.
