    The Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation Farmer of the Year award was presented to a North Webster husband and wife.

Sherman E. and Colleen Bryant of North Webster received the honor for their conservation practices on their 200-acre farm. The annual honor is the most prestigious award given by the Soil and Water Conservation District.

    Warsaw's girls basketball team won two of three games last week, including the consolation game at the Concord Invitation Basketball Tournament.

And, for the second year in a row, Judi Warren won the "Minutewoman Award" based on attitude, assists, rebounding and scoring.

    Mallers Brothers Theaters, operating movie houses in Warsaw, Fort Wayne, Bluffton, Tipton, Portland and Defiance, Ohio, have announced a decision affecting all their theaters - that no Ingrid Bergman pictures will be shown.

This ban on Bergman films follows the birth of a daughter in Italy to the movie actress and because of Bergman's "flagrant discrediting of the movie industry personnel."

    Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dye, Tom Dye and Beatrice Smith, of this city, will spend Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Shoe Dealers' convention at Indianapolis. Other Warsawans are also planning to attend.
