    In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of DePuy Inc., the world's first orthopedic company, DePuy employees from all three shifts gathered at Rodeheaver Auditorium Jan. 27 for a united recognition of this event.

DePuy's 800 employees were addressed by DePuy Inc. President Bill Tidmore and James A. Lent, chairman and CEO of DePuy Orthopedics.

    With smiles galore and happy teammates looking on, Warsaw Community High School girls basketball players Pam Shively, Sue Loher and Claudia Kreicker accepted the sectional trophy from WCHS principal Ray Green Saturday night. The No. 1 ranked Tigers were 63-22 victors over Argos and now advance to their own regional next Saturday.

February 3 1955

    History of the Sunshine Club was the highlight of the program of the club held following a chicken dinner at the Wagon Wheel recently in observance of the 26th anniversary of the club.

During the social hour, bunco was enjoyed with Mrs. Hurless Nine and Mrs. Knouff winning prizes. Mrs. Don Lichtenwalter won the traveling prize, Mrs. Bayne, the mystery package and Mrs. Nine the door prize.

    The Warsaw Negative debating team defeated the Elkhart Affirmative team by a 3-0 score at Elkhart Monday night.

The Warsaw team was composed of Martha Hudson, first speaker; Lawrence Smith, second speaker; Stuart Van Dyke, third speaker; and Stanley Kintzel, alternate. [[In-content Ad]]
