The crowd at the Leesburg-Burket game Friday night got a chance to see how good their vision is in the dark. The Leesburg band had all the lights turned off in the gym and marched around the basketball floor spelling out "Abe," and forming a heart. The outlines were visible only by the glow of tiny flashlights attached to the caps of the 50 uniformed band members. The twirlers kept pace, too - with lighted batons.

The manager of The Strand Theatre desires to call attention to the new orchestra which is now playing regularly at The Strand. The orchestra is composed of Virginia Rose, Hobart Hamlin, Arthur Wenger and Harry Edginton, all high class musicians who play a good grade of music and add greatly to the entertainments of The Strand.
