    Three members of the Warsaw girls' basketball squad and one from Wawasee earned All-Northern Lakes Conference honors recently.

The Tigers' Chandra Hopkins, Kristi Keilman and Maureen Bordner were honored on the first team along with Carly Beer from Wawasee.

February 12 1980

    Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Jones, Etna Green, Kosciusko County's oldest living resident, is 107 today. Born on Feb. 12, 1873, in a Scott Township log cabin, she was the daughter of Robert and Catherine Hepler Watkins. She lives in a Millwood farmhouse, which has been owned by the Jones family for more than 100 years.

    Philip A. Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weaver, Argonne Road, cadet first lieutenant in the Warsaw civil air patrol squadron, has been nominated as a candidate by Sen. William E. Jenner to participate in examinations for entrance to the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo.

    Harriett Oswald, Home Economics teacher in the Pierceton High School, attended a vocational teachers' meeting held at Indianapolis.
