    Jennifer Thomas, daughter of Larry and Linda Thomas of Mentone, graduated with highest distinction Jan. 18 form Indiana Business College, Lafayette.

Thomas was awarded an executive secretarial degree.

    INDIANAPOLIS - Serving as pages in the Indiana State Senate recently were Stephanie and Jeff Christner, Kris Kehoe and Julie Parke, all of Warsaw; Michelle Howard, Winona Lake; Dee Rigertink, Milford.

Each of the youngsters served as Senate pages for one full day as the guest of State Sen. John B. Augsburger (R-Syracuse) at the 102nd Indiana General Assembly.

February 11 1956

    Terry Cole, of Pierceton, will receive the Eagle Scout award when Boy Scouts of the Kosciusko district, Pioneer Trails Council, hold a court of honor in the Syracuse High School gym.

Terry is the second of Mr. and Mrs. Alson Cole's sons to receive the highest rank in Scouting. His brother Larry earned it two years ago.

    The Warsaw High School negative team won the debate here Tuesday night from the Goshen High School affirmative team. The question was: "Resolved, That the Present System of Installment Buying of Consumption Goods Should Be Condemned."

Debators were: Lawrence Smith, Stewart Van Dyke and David Gast, with Wilda Mellencamp as alternate, presenting Warsaw. [[In-content Ad]]
