    Larry Thomas, Warsaw, was named Wheaton Van Lines Super Service award winner for September.

Thomas was selected from more than 140 Wheaton contract drivers nationwide, based on complimentary comments received from his customers.

    Jeffrey M. Nicholls, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Nicholls, 2106 Brookview Dr., Warsaw, will be one of 37 students from Valparaiso University attending one of the school's overseas study centers in Cambridge, England, and Reutlingen, German, for the spring semester.

A junior majoring in philosophy and humanities, he will be enrolled at the study center in Cambridge.

    The student council of Warsaw High School has started a money raising and magazine collecting project, according to Principal James Riley.

Members of the council are asking the co-operation of the entire student body and faculty to get old and new copies of magazines to send to German students who have very little reading material.

    Bert Sellers was elected captain of the Warsaw Volunteer Firemen at a meeting held on Thursday evening. Otto Eby was elected first lieutenant; H.C. Thompson, second lieutenant; Huffer Milburn,secretary; Jud Pittenger, treasurer; and Pete Carroll, Chas. Frush and Howard Hemmer, trustees.
