Tony Marshall, 23, received his 1st degree black belt from instructor Kenneth Gillenwater of Gillenwater's Lions Academy school of Martial Arts in North Webster. The promotion was the result of several years of hard work.

Warsaw Community High School's varsity debaters swept the Angola debate meet last weekend with an undefeated four-man record of eight wins capturing the first place trophy.

Junior Emmons poured in 31 points last night as the crippled Mentone Bulldogs scored a 62 to 50 decision over the Etna Green high school Cubs. A large crowd at the Mentone gym saw the tilt, which was much closer than the final score indicates.

Thirty-two Boy Scouts will arrive at Boy City at Winona Lake on Dec. 29 for a five day camping period. This is probably the first time a winter camp has been held at Boy City. The boys will be brought as far as Milford Junction on the B. & O. and from there to the lake. The group will be in charge of Ar.R. Snyder and two assistant scoutmasters.
