Warsaw Mayor Paul (Mike) Hodges announced his candidacy for mayor of the city for a record-breaking fifth term. If he is successful, it will be his third consecutive term in office. No other Warsaw mayor has served more than two consecutive terms.

Rev. Robert Higgins has been named to replace Rev. Bert Hodge as pastor of the First Brethren Church, North Manchester. Rev. Hodge recently resigned his pastorate to move to Ossian.

The Rochester News and the Rochester Sentinel, the two daily publications at Rochester, were consolidated today, and in the future will be known as the News-Sentinel. The paper is now the property of Henry A. Barnhart and his son, Hugh Barnhart.
