The Kosciusko County Chapter of the American Red Cross has honored Oscar Werner for serving as blood services chairman from 1982-86. He has been involved with the Red Cross for 20 years and is a three gallon donor. Norma Anglin is the Red Cross executive director.

Bruce Howe is back from conducting a business-pleasure trip to Texas and Florida for Word, Inc. Lucky Bruce, the beaming host of singer Anita Bryant in Warsaw recently, was a special guest at a Florida party for the Miami Dolphins football team, hosted by the smiling singer and her husband.

Wendell "Wendy" Beck, former Syracuse High School basketball star and son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beck, of Syracuse, has been a key figure in the scoring tactics of Manchester College's Spartans this season. Beck has scored 76 points in the first six games of the season.

Beginning immediately after the holidays, noon-day luncheons will be served to pupils in the Monroe township public schools. Many schools of the county already have adopted the hot lunch idea.
