    Even after the high school golf season ends next month, Warsaw Community High School's Matt Johnson won't be ending his competitive playing days. Johnson, a permanent fixture on the WCHS golf team over the last four years, has decided to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin on a full-ride golf scholarship.

    Venida Winters, Milford, will be published May 7 by Carlton Press, New York. One of America's foremost experts on poodles, the author has behind her 20 years of professional poodle grooming, as well as teaching poodle care to new owners and groomers.

    A four-year scholarship has been awarded to Miss Eloise Bilby, a member of the senior class of the Warsaw High School, by Indiana Central College at Indianapolis. This award is for $250 each year. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Bilby, of North High Street.

April 23 1923

    Ground is now being broken for three of the most modern cottages on Tippecanoe Lake. They will be building at Government Point. The cottages will be of the bungalow style with large ornamental fireplaces of cobblestones and stone verandas. Each will have a double garage, and a concrete sea-wall will be built along the shore line in front of them. More than a car load of cement will be required.
