    Syracuse Hardware has received Hoover's Dealer Appreciation Award for doubling their purchases in 1988. The family-owned hardware store has been in Kosciusko County for 20 years and is one of HWI's top 25 stores.

    Rhonda Brandon, 11, was the winner of the 25-pound Easter basket drawing held at Harvey's Mart on Saturday. She also received a 6-foot tall plastic rabbit. Rhonda is the daughter of Mrs. Irma Brandon, 414 Kincaide St., and Walter Brandon, Warsaw. Rhonda will share her "biggest Easter basket ever" with her twin brother Randy, and brother Roger, 12. The winning name was drawn by Beth Tinkey, Warsaw, and Carleen Clampitt, Atwood.

    Mrs. Cary Groninger and Mrs. Russell Creighton presented the project lesson at the meeting of the Harrison Center Home Economics Club held Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Earl Smalley, of that community. "Shoes for the Family" were discussed by Mrs. Groninger and Mrs. Creighton.

    Mr. and Mrs. H. Herschel Leiter, newlyweds, were given a gay ride through the main streets of Warsaw on Monday afternoon on a low four-wheel cart, hauled behind an automobile, driven by Mary East. The reception was given Mr. and Mrs. Leiter when they visited the DePuy Splint Factory Monday and was arranged by Mary East, office manager of the factory, and "Buster" Foulke, factory manager.
