    Gretchen Gunter, a seventh grade student at Warsaw Middle School, was the winner of the American Association of University Women poster contest. The contest was for all students at the Middle School to honor Women's History Month. Second prize was awarded to Holly Hapner and third prize was won by Rachel Kinley. Gretchen won a $100 savings bond courtesy of the First National Bank of Warsaw.

    On May 1, as Donald Frantz retires from the Kosciusko County Extension Service, the distinguished community leader accepts the position of public affairs director for radio stations WRSW AM-FM.

Frantz's primary duties will include planning and programming broadcasts concerning public affairs within the community, stated Duane Pagel, manager of the radio stations.

    Mrs. John Pfahler, new county 4-H club leader, presented a junior leader's pin to Susanne Knoop and pins for completion of one year of 4-H club work to Evelyn Thompson, Mary Louise Priser, Mary Anne Drudge and Sue Ann Harmon.

April 16 1924

    Some good strings of bass were captured yesterday and today on the Tippecanoe River lowlands just north of Warsaw at the bridge to the old Kring farm. Bert Manly landed six bass there yesterday from the bridge while today Zeb Hughes and Harry Crites took two bass, one weighing almost four pounds.
