Workers in the Warsaw Sewage Department literally found a bug in the system recently. According to Jim Smelser, chief maintenance person, they couldn't determine what the problem was when they noticed the meter readings seemed erratic. After taking it apart, they found a spider had spun a web on a sensor that measures the depth of sewage. Smelser said they were happy to have found the source was just a bug, considering what replacement parts may have cost had the problem been serious.

The 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Nellans was celebrated quietly on March 13 at the Timbercrest Home, North Manchester, where they have resided since 1968.

A team comprising Keith Stackhouse, Loren Carswell, Jay Bates and Bob Lutz won first place at the Marshall County livestock judging contest. Keith Stackhouse was high scorer with 402 points out of a possible 450.

Rudolph Dickey, a senior in the Atwood High School, won first place in the local oratorical contest, which was held at that place Friday night. Dickey gave one of John Thurstons' speeches titled, "The Independence of Cuba."
