    A Warsaw woman will celebrate her 100th birthday with a party at Miller's Merry Manor, where she is a resident.

Gertha Faye Bunner, known to her friends and family as "Faye," was born April 11, 1988, in New Haven, and was the daughter of James and Mineta Newby.

    A Silver Lake couple, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bouse, recently returned from Honolulu, Hawaii, where they attended a national farm business conference. The conference consisted of special seminars and tours of selected livestock and cropping facilities.

    L.N. (Pete) Thorn, director of the Warsaw Boys' Club, announced Thursday noon that Bob Schrader had won the club's basketball "horse" tournament, a popular spot-shooting contest. Schrader also won the "21" basketball tournament just two days ago.

    John O. Deaton received a light package from Germany containing an Angora goat wool produced in Switzerland. The little package had a 100-mark stamp affixed to it.
