    Students from Tippecanoe Valley High School reply to the question, "Should the government enforce stricter gun control laws, or should the restrictions be relaxed?"

Trent Doran (freshman) - "The restrictions should be relaxed. They're making too much about it. They should enforce laws about semi-automatics, but not for handguns or your common deer rifle." Christy Warstler (senior) - "I don't think that the semi-automatics should be sold to hunters. The laws should be stricter."

    A group of local 4-Hers from the Silver Lake Tatapocheon club were recently filmed for an entertainment program on a Fort Wayne television station. Members of the club include: Jody Solyer; Kim Mendenhall; Laurie Jayne; Kelly O'Hara; Tricia Ayres; Julie Saner; Jane Anne Dickey; Vicky Hines; Kathy Thomas; Jo Lynn Jackson; Robin Enyeart; Mrs. Clifford Fisher, leader; and Pat Sellers, reporter, 4-H news.

April 1 1949

    Norman Clay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Clay, of six miles south of Warsaw on the county road, brings in proof that he found a batch of mushrooms under leaves on their farm. The sponges, ranging from the size of a grain of wheat to about three quarters of an inch long, were preserved in a bottle of solution and altogether the two-dozen mushrooms would hardly have filled a teaspoon.

Warsawans who hoped for balmy weather this week were disappointed today when they awoke to find snow 1-1/2 inches deep covering the ground. The average temperature yesterday was 28 above zero. [[In-content Ad]]
