Homecoming at Warsaw Community High School will be different this year because of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. But the difference will be one that members of the WCHS student council see as positive. “This year, instead of dividing the classes up, we’re coming together more as a school,” said Warsaw Student Council President Kiel Beehler. “Instead of four separate floats, we’re doing one giant float with everyone working on that to build school unity...”

The 1987 European tour of the Indiana Choralaires, conducted by Margaret Ann Voirol, has been planned as a reunion of the former members and friends of the Warsaw Community High School Choral Department. This tour includes concerts, shopping and visits to the scenic area of Europe. The 18-day Indiana Choralaires Concert Tour will include 35 to 40 members. The itinerary will include the following countries: Holland, West Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and France.

Seventy-three-year-old Vivian F. Cullison, who enjoys “puttering around” his farm about one-half mile east of Etna Green, will walk down the steps of the Pennsylvania Railroad tower in Warsaw at 3 p.m. Saturday for the last time. After 54 years with the Pennsylvania, the soft spoken railroader has decided to call it quits, but he quickly pointed out that it won’t be a quiet retirement. He was 16 when he started on the railroad, but no records were kept of his first three years. He got down to earnest work at the age of 19 when he was hired as a telegrapher.

Members of the Tri Arts Club of Leesburg met recently at the home of Frances Thomas for the first meeting this season. Later in the evening a miscellaneous shower was given in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Henderson of Atwood, formerly of Leesburg. A very pretty gift was presented in her honor.
