Organizer Jim Smelser says, “All three of the first wars – the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 – are tied together.” The group has been developing a Red Brush village the last couple years, which is the original settlers’ name for Warsaw. A large cabin was taken apart in Allen County and brought to the fairgrounds, where the event is held, a couple years ago. Matt Gillis will demonstrate early blacksmith skills and there is a working windmill, too. Entertainment includes a Punch and Judy puppet show; the singing group Father, Sons and Friends; and a roving minstrel team, Common Stock.
