    Having already been a part of it, certainly Ben Barkey knows what he’s about to step into. Barkey, a 1997 Warsaw Community High School graduate, was a three-year varsity golfer for veteran coach Bob Turner. With the resignation this past season of Turner, who spent 14 years as Warsaw’s coach, Barkey will now head up the Tiger boys program, one that advanced to the state finals the past two years.

    Bob Sanders, of Bodkin Abstract Co., Warsaw, has a lucky streak that’s adding up the benefits. He recently won a $500 trip to the destination of his choice from the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce. He’s also won two Cubs tickets from Windy’s Marathon, located on Center Street, and tickets to the Pan Am Games.

    Dr. and Mrs. R.D. Barnard, of Winona Lake, are hosting a most welcome guest - daughter, Mrs. Harold (Dorcas) Beaver, of Houston, Texas. Mrs. Beaver and three daughters were joined recently by Dr. Beaver, a geologist with a nationally-famous oil company. Dr. Beaver received his Ph.D. from Wisconsin University.

   County Agent Joseph A. Clark will accompany approximately 100 boys of the Kosciusko County 4-H clubs, under the guidance of John L. Barton, agriculture instructor at the Warsaw High School, on a one-day outing recently. The group has been given special rates by boat lines. Visits will be made to South Bend and three Michigan towns, St. Joseph, South Haven and Benton Harbor where fruit markets and industries will be visited.
