Robert Collier retired from R&R Body Shop, 106 W. Catholic St., Pierceton, after starting the business in 1968. John Crouse, Warsaw, assumed ownership July 1.
Lake City Skiers placed second Aug. 7 at the Division II National Show Ski Tournament in Rock Island, Ill., their highest ranking ever. Their final act of the show was the four three-high pyramid.
Jacob Patton, son of Wayne and Ellen Patton, received his Eagle Scout award. His parents are working as Grace Brethren International missionaries. Jacob's goal is to start a Boy Scout troop in Belem, Brazil.

1990 Kosciusko Cutie King and Queen, Aug. 7: Christopher Armey, 4, son of Dan and Lorie Armey, Warsaw, and Jennifer Slone, 4, daughter of Buck Slone and Shelia Hurd, Warsaw. Runners-up were Casey Weade, 4, son of Ron and Diann Weade, Syracuse, and Karrah Creamer, 5, daughter of Kay Creamer, Atwood.
Kosciusko County Rabbit King and Queen are Tod Whetstone and Laurie Bailey; Princess is Mary Sholtey, with Renee Wuthrich named alternate; Prince is Ryan Yoder, with David Bailey named as alternate. Phillip Whetstone had the Best of Show rabbit. Jenny Ellison and Tami Whetstone showed champion rabbits.

Marcy Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Ward, Warsaw, was among the award winners in the Indiana University High School Journalism Institute Newspaper Workshop. She is editor of the 1965-66 Warsaw High School newspaper.
Steven Kanter, a native of London, England, is visiting the United States. He is working for Jomac-North, Inc., in the business department learning the “tricks of the trade” before traveling to other states, then back to London in October.
Kroger Super Bingo winner, Judy Ault. Manager William Davis presents a $100 check.

Parallel parking has been established on South Indiana Street by the United Telephone building. City employees, under the direction of Street Commissioner John Lee, are now engaged in painting lines of the parking places.[[In-content Ad]]
