    The Tippecanoe Audubon Society is sponsoring a program at the Senior Activities Center at Lucerne Park.

The program, titled "Dominica: The Nature Island of the Caribbean," is to be presented by Bart Culver of North Webster, who traveled to Dominica on behalf of the Indiana Nature Conservancy.

    For the third quarter in a row, wages of workers in Kosciusko County increased slightly while statewide average earnings were up as well, according to the Indiana Employment Security Division.

During the period of October to December 1983, Kosciusko County workers earned an average of $323.80 weekly in all areas of employment, while manufacturing workers earned $406.72.

    A total of 266 students have enrolled for the first summer term at Manchester College, according to the registrar, Maxine Domer. This total includes 212 full-time students and 54 part-time for a total increase of 23 over last year's enrollment. This represents a nearly 10 per cent increase over a year ago.

    The cosmetics department of the Schultz-Illinois-Star Co. will continue operation in Warsaw. Definite assurance of this was given recently by F.P. Wagner, vice president of the company, in a letter to Clarence Maish, president of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber of commerce has offered to assist the industry but it does not guarantee the payroll. The payroll increase is about $2,400. [[In-content Ad]]
