    Edna Nellans was crowned "Our Lady of Kosciusko" during activities at the Kosciusko County 4-H and Community Fair.

The contest for senior queen was one of several new contests added to this year's fair schedule.

    Dave M. Tinkey, son of Forrest and Marjorie Tinkey, has been promoted to senior accountant in the Indianapolis office of Geo. S. Olive & Co., the largest certified public accounting firm in Indiana. Tinkey specializes in financial institutions at GSO.

    Dianne Gebert and Joan Hettler, of Pierceton, have been named winners of awards at the 12th annual High School Journalism Institute at Indiana University.

Hettler received honorable mention awards for best feature and speech coverage in advanced newswriting. A special story, "I Am a Teen-Ager," in the editors' workshop won for Gebert a second-place award.

    Farmers reported that between 300 to 500 acres of wheat has now been thrashed in this vicinity. The average yield per acre is 15 to 20 bushels. The threshing mentioned has been in Wayne Township and vicinity, east of Warsaw.
