    Marine Pfc. Randall F. Richardson, son of Jesse J. and Wanda M. Richardson, Pierceton, has completed the Field Radio Operator's Course.

During the eight-week skill training with Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendelton, Calif., he received instruction on the installation, adjustment and operation of the tactical radios used by Marine Corps ground 2nd aviation units. He studied voice radio procedures, communications security and the use of encryption (message "scrambling") equipment.

    Lew Goshert, Bob Caywood and Curtis Garber, all of Warsaw, and Fritz Wolferman of Milford attended the major league baseball double-header in Chicago between the White Sox and Cleveland Indians.

July 16 1932

    The Delta Theta Tau sorority of Etna Green held a beautiful initiation service for Nellie Mikel at the home of Marjorie Mason. Mikel is a graduate of Etna Green High School and Indiana University, and is a member of the honorary sorority, Phi Chi Theta. After initiation they adjourned to the beautiful flower garden where bridge was played with prizes going to Olive Poulson and Mary Vernette.
