Warsaw graduate Joel Popenfoose, son of Steve and Paula Popenfoose, has signed to play soccer at Grace College. One of the top players in northern Indiana, Popenfoose scored a school-record 14 goals this season and had seven assists as the Tigers advanced to the semistate. Joel has lettered six times at Warsaw, competing in track, swimming and soccer. Warsaw coach is Scott Bauer; Susan Mishler is assistant athletic director; Dr. Jennifer Brumfield is WCHS principal; and Roy Danielian is the coach at Grace College.
Tippecanoe Valley senior Lance Bailey has decided to play baseball at Valparaiso University. His parents are Tina and George Bailey. Valley athletic director is Duane Burkhart; Viking baseball coach is Scott Backus.

Bob “Litch” Lichtenwalter is retiring from the Warsaw Community School System after 39 years. In recognition of all his contributions to the Warsaw athletic programs over the years, the WCHS Athletic Department presented him with a plaque of appreciation and a lifetime pass to all WCS athletic events. Present are Lee Harmon, WCS assistant superintendent, and Bill Landrigan, Freshman High School principal.
Students, former students and friends are cordially invited to an open house for Del Bunnell: June 5, 2 to 5 p.m. in the Warsaw High School Commons. Mr. Bunnell is retiring after 38 years of teaching.

Miss Eleanor Barrett, daughter of Frank Barrett, of Warsaw, admitted by Mooseheart in April 1925, with her mother and two brothers, Harry and John, will graduate from the Mooseheart School June 11 with a complete high school education. Miss Barrett is a competent stenographer and beauty culture operator. She plans to make her home in Warsaw with her brother, Harry, who graduated from Mooseheart last year.
Miss Josephine Lafler, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. E. M. Lafler, Market St., is one of the four seniors pledged to Sigma Sigma Phi honorary society of the School of Physical Education at Battle Creek (Mich.) College.[[In-content Ad]]
