The Tippecanoe Valley State Football champs of 1979 participated in Mentone's Egg Festival Parade. Charlie Smith, who was also the grand marshall of the parade, marched with members and coaches from that team.

Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Reichert, son and daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reichert, Bremen, leave soon for Christian service in refugee camps in Germany. The younger Mrs. Reichert was Miss Adele Bertsche of Pontiac, Ill., before their marriage May 30.

A surprise kitchen shower was recently given for Mrs. Fred Hartman, who before her recent marriage will be remembered as Miss Charlene Arnsberger, at the home of Mrs. Paul Vermillion. The honored guest was the recipient of many lovely and useful gifts. Previous to the shower, two tables of bridge progressed, with first prize being awarded to Miss Crystal Davis and second prize to Mrs. John Wood.
