Det,/Sgt. J.D. Ayres was honored for 10 years of service with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. Captain James D. Springer presented a plaque to Ayres, who has retired and moved into the private sector.

LeeAnne Stewart Dance School presents its annual dance production, “Dancing Thru the Decades,” June 15 and 16 in Wawasee High School auditorium. These students perform to “It's a Small World:” Cassandra Wells, Wendy Cripe, Katie and Kim Miller, Kristin Bonacorsi, Addie Jo Wright, Michilah Anglin, Michael Jenks, Nikki Miller and Annette Lamb.
Rev. Arden L. Reed will speak Sunday for the last time as interim pastor of Winona Lake Free Methodist Church, serving since Nov. 12. He and his wife, Gertrude, are returning to their home in Churchville, N.Y. Reed was pastor of the church from 1959 to 1973.
Rev. Jerry Clark of Fort Wayne has assumed interim pastoral duties at Calvary Chapel of Warsaw, 522 W. Market St. Before entering the ministry, he was public relations and marketing director for the Fort Wayne Komet Hockey team for three seasons.

 Two Leesburg residents have been awarded freshman scholarships at Goshen College for the 1965-66 school year: Mrs. Jeane Coverstone, Route 2, a graduate of North Webster High School, and Charles Rodney Teeple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robert Teeple, Route 1, a senior at Leesburg High School.

Johnny Jontz, 4, son of the Dick Jontzes, Silver Lake, sits on the counter of Your Times & Union, swinging his feet and hiding his forehead with his hand as staff tease him about cutting his hair off in front. He confessed he'd done it twice before.
Mrs. Catherine Pletcher, 99, Pierceton, was winner of the annual oldest mother contest sponsored by the Central Shoe Store, Warsaw. She will be 100 years on June 14. Mrs. Jane Anderson, 103, operated a hotel in Winona Lake until she was 100. She was not eligible, because she now lives in Anderson.  [[In-content Ad]]

Power Line Lowering Project ‘Substantially Complete’
