The Grace Community Orchestra will present its annual spring concert at the Rodeheaver Auditorium featuring the Mozart Horn Concerto with Brenda Alt as a French horn soloist. She will be accompanied by Cheryl Bartel and Julie Johnson, oboes; Jim Garner, Leesburg, and Richard Anderson, Warsaw, on horns; Darleen Skinner, violin; Dan Seibert, violist.
Pvt. James LaTour Jr., 1985 graduate of Wawasee and son of John A. and Sandra L. LaTour, Syracuse, has completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Pvt. Christopher D. Bean, son of Dallas R. Bean, Nappanee, and Pvt. Paul E. Sills, Jr., son of Paul and Cherry E. Sills, Warsaw, have completed training at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga.

Two Warsaw youths are at the U.S. Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill., following their four-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. Richard Alexander Latta, son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Latta, selected the electronic field. William Lowell Camden, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Camden Sr., is enrolled in the high school seaman recruit field. Chief Sidney Edwards announced that Sharol Ann Galvin, daughter of Rosetta Markham, Syracuse, has enlisted in the WAVES for two years as a radioman, third class.
Ruth Belt retired April 4 from the Akron Exchange State Bank after working there since October 1936.
Ralph K. Frantz, Warsaw, the first six-gallon blood donor in this county, receives a pin from Fred McKown Sr., the first Kosciusko County blood program chairman. Frantz gave his 48th pint of blood.

Boy Scouts took over the city for a day. They are Wilbur Gill Jr. for City Attorney Everett Rasor; Bob Hunter for Mayor C. C. DuBois; Ed Treesh, clerk; Don Sisk, Neil Bennett, Frank Clover, Charles Akers and Robert Towns as councilmen. Frank Lucas, chief of police, had his office taken over by the Scouts.
Beaver Dam High School’s cast of four was the winner of a loving cup at the Kosciusko County one-act play contest held at Pierceton Wednesday evening. Their play was entitled “Roly-Poly.”[[In-content Ad]]
