On March 2 four students from Eisenhower Elementary and Edgewood Middle Schools served as pages for Sen. Kent Adams: Amy Wildman, daughter of Rod and Nancy Wildman, Winona Lake; Caitlin and Liana Tetreau, daughters of Marc and Mary Tetreau, Winona Lake; Lana Jennings, daughter of Andrew and Marla Jennings, Warsaw. Ryan Castle, son of Stephanie Doberstein, Mentone, and a freshman at Tippecanoe Valley, was a page for Sen. Gary Dillon March 2.
Jason A. Sloan, a 2000 Whitko High School graduate, enlisted in the U.S. Army's Delayed Entry Program and will report for active duty March 30. He will take basic training at Fort Sill, Okla. and then be assigned to Fort Bragg, N. C.

Marie's Treasures has it all. A large variety of artistic items were on display Sunday at the Holiday Inn in Warsaw. Crafted by Iva Marie Rosbrugh, Warsaw, the larger eggs used in the displays come from ostriches and rheas.
Carol Hartman has been named Kosciusko County general chairman of the 1989 Special Gift Campaign for the American Lung Association of Northern Indiana. She will be heading a group of volunteer fund-raisers during a campaign March 27-April 7. Hartman is executive officer of the Builders Association of Kosciusko County.
Jane A. Klemm, an employee of Lake City Bank, has been promoted to assistant controller. She majored in accounting at Manchester College.
50 years
The Talma Junior High School basketball team won the 1964 Kosciusko County basketball tournament championship March 9 at the Claypool gym. The Talma Tigers won a 60-49 victory over the Beaver Dam Beavers: Jack Kevin, Roger Yarian, Terry Reed, Lee Ritchey, Max Hubartt, Kenny Isley, Mike Whetstone, Rex Bowser, Terry Norman, Stan Shand. Ronnie Teel and Dennis Meyer, managers; Phil Pratt, coach; Phil Pratt, Jr., team mascot; Kathy Boggs, Sandy Hollar, Diane Henderson and Nan Nellans, cheerleaders. Beaver Dam's Jeff McFarland and Jim Weaver had 14 and 16 points. Talma will be moving on to Mentone High School; Beaver Dam, Akron High School, both of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp.
75 years
George W. Bailey, 92, Syracuse, has been a resident of that vicinity for 35 years. He is the last Civil War veteran residing in Turkey Creek Township. Mr. Bailey served with Co. B, 68th Ohio Infantry.
Former fire truck driver, 9 years, and present assistant fire chief, Robert "Link" Hay takes a police call, his latest position. Hay was appointed to the police department January 1, 1939. He is on night duty working with assistant chief of police Judd Pittenger and Officer Harve Matthews. Hay has two children, Susan and Max.
A beautiful bouquet of guadily colored blooming sweet peas right out of native Warsawan Marguerite Carroll Bowler's Los Angeles backyard garden arrived by air-mail and are gracing sister-in-law Ruby Carroll's desk in the Times office today.
