    More than 1,000 area fourth-grade students will discover more about agriculture at the Seventh Annual Kosciusko Ag Day Tuesday and Wednesday at Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, Warsaw. During Ag Day students have the opportunity to visit 12 educational booths covering topics such as careers in agriculture, 4-H crops, swine, beef, chickens, dairy, soil and water quality, ducks, farm machinery, sheep and farm safety.

    Back To School – Area students went back to school today after spring vacation. Kyle Tom was shown in a front page photo riding his scooter down East Main Street on his way to Lincoln Elementary School. He is in the fourth grade. Kyle is the son of Kip and Paula Tom, who live in Warsaw.

    Three Future Farmers of Claypool High School recently received awards at a banquet held in Wabash. They were: Larry Reece, Ronald Hathaway and Howard Shull, along with vocational teacher Joseph Reynolds. Hathaway won top score for his yield. He also had the lowest cost per bushel. Other Claypool youths who participated in the corn growing contest, sponsored by the DeKalb Corn Company, were Jim Reece, Dale Hines, Brad Bradley, Larry McKenzie and Dennis Rowland.

   Francis E. Miller, student at Indiana University, has returned to Bloomington, after spending his spring vacation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Miller.
      Mrs. John A. Sloane and Miss Frances Sharp went to Wabash Sunday to hear the presentation of the “Messiah” by Manchester College. Miss Mildred Sloane and Gus Chinworth, of Warsaw, sang in the chorus and James Pottenger, of Warsaw, played in the orchestra.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old. Unlike other distributions, which are taxed at ordinary income tax rates, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow for a tax-free distribution from an IRA, provided that the distribution goes directly to a qualified charity.
