Middle school students in Kosciusko County will be able to learn about job opportunities available locally at the first-ever Middle School Career Fair April 17. Sponsored by the Workforce Development Group of the Warsaw Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce’s Education Steering Committee, the career fair will give middle schoolers an idea of what will be expected of them for careers that don’t require a four-year college education.
Approximately 1,300 middle school students will attend the career fair during the school day and will be brought one school at a time to the Home and Family Arts Building at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

Biomet president Dane Miller was inteviewed recently on the Financial News Network’s “Catching Winners Early” show. The Warsaw resident was questioned about Biomet and corporate affairs.
Spending his spring vacation at the National Elementary School Principals Convention in Orlando, Fla., Claypool School principal Randy Polston won a limited edition marble etching titled “Presidential Suite Meeting.” The etching, which was the top prize given away, includes the four living United States presidents.

Stephen Bumbaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Bumbaugh, Warsaw is a member of the marching and stage bands at Kemper Military School in Boonville, Mo. Steve plays the cornet.
Mrs. Ford Hardman, Warsaw, and Mrs. Lloyd Swoverland, Etna Green, attended the State Day luncheon given by the South Bend Progress club recently. Mrs. E.D. Pearce addressed the group on “Federation Challenges in the Space Age.” Mrs. Hardman is news and information chairman for the Indiana Federation. Mrs. Swoverland is first vice president of the Kosciusko Federation.

Among those from Warsaw who attended the dance Sunday evening at Tri Lakes were: Joe Mosher, Robert Hankins, Carl Latta, Wilma Ruse, Mary June Griffith, Mary Yotter, Dolores Smith, Clifford Piffer, Carlton Fifer, Robert Chambers, Helen Guy, Frank Alfred, Dorothy Longfellow and Edgar Hoover.[[In-content Ad]]
