In the March 1 edition of The Stuart (Fla.) News, former Chapman Lake resident Marilynne Curtis, Jensen Beach, Fla., is mentioned for coming in third in the newspaper’s Oscar contest. She received eight Regal Cinemas passes.
Cosmo and Co. Hair Design announces completion of their 2,100 square-foot salon at 2122 N. Biomet Drive, Warsaw. Cosmo is owned by Rich and Juli Caldwell. Others on the team are Nicole Westerhof, Jena Marcuccilli, Wendy Fairchild-Ellis, Kerry Romine-Brainard, Dawna Van Meter, Erin Hart and Kelly Lybarger.

Warsaw postmaster Robert Douglas announced that the new front doors of the post office will be open by May 1. At that time, window service and lock boxes will be moved temporarily to the new area while remodeling continues in the old part of the building. Completion is expected Sept. 1.
NBS Office Supply in Warsaw has been appointed the authorized Xerox sales agent for Kosciusko and Marshall counties. Bob Jones, Mentone, who has 12 years sales experience in the business equipment industry, will promote the line. Store manager is Jan Lackey; Allan Kauffman is vice president of sales.
Gail D. Law has joined Lake City Bank as assistant vice president in the consumer loan department. He has degrees in math and business from Manchester College.

Humpty Dumpty’s team won the YMCA biddy basketball league with a perfect 10-0 record: Karl Ashman, Jerry and Dennis Kinsey, Larry Gibson, Dave Whitcomb, Chuck Grant, Mark and John Hanna. Robert Saunders is director of the biddy leagues.
The Prague Chamber Orchestra, consisting of 36 master musicians from Czechoslovakia, making its United States debut tour, performs at the Warsaw Community High School auditorium March 9 under the sponsorship of the Lakeland Civic Music Assn. From the beginning in 1951, all the players learned the score, knowing they would play without a conductor. This is the final concert of the 1964-65 series.
Band Boosters held a fish fry. Dr. George M. Haymond, committee chairman; Mrs. William Sadler; Mrs. Paul Arbaugh; Edward Summers, president, are club members.

Local news reels being shown this week at Warsaw’s Strand Theatre depicting the havoc created by the recent circus fire at Rochester Feb. 21 are the pride and joy of theatre owner John Boice and wife, Gladys. Both are experts with the movie camera and had excellent shots of the wreckage. “Our shots are nearly identical with big-time photographers from metropolitan papers,” they said.
Putting all others to shame for the 1939 and early 1940 fishing season is the catch of Millard Eppert, Syracuse. He turned in the largest single catch this year, a 14-pound pike caught through Wawasee ice and measuring 39 inches long.
Walter Drug Store is celebrating their eighth anniversary in Warsaw March 3.
