After selling $1,500 in Cub Scout popcorn, John Mattson of Cub Scout Pack 3767, Lincoln School, received an 820 Trek mountain bike. He received his bike at a recent Komet hockey game. His father, senior John Mattson, is Scoutmaster of Pack 3767.

AS WE HEAR IT - Tim Rovenstine has purchased his brother Joe's share of the Atwood Rovenstine store, which has been in the Rovenstine family since 1878, nearly 80 years. Joe, a one-time deputy sheriff, is going to take it easy, take a long rest. Brothers have been business partners since 1945.

The flag of the Warsaw post office was placed at half-mast Friday (Jan. 6) and will remain at half mast during the 30-day mourning period in memory of the late former president, Calvin Coolidge. A number of business houses in Warsaw placed flags at half mast upon learning of the death of the former president.
