    MUNCIE - Wendy Meredith of Akron recently was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society at Ball State University.

Meredith, a junior accounting major, is the daughter of David Meredith and Peggi Benson, Akron. She is a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School.

    SYRACUSE - Wawasee High School's swimming team had a successful opening to a busy week by dumping visiting Elkhart Memorial 80-47. Two Warrior school records were established.

Tony Boyer bettered his own school 200 freestyle mark with a 1:50.56 clocking. His previous record was 1:50.7, set last week. Teammate Andy Wyson, who owned the 200 freestyle record until this year, entered his name in the school record book in another even, the 100 freestyle. His time of 50.2 was one-tenth second better than the record Boyer set earlier.

    The Bourbon High School team recently won the county grain judging contest. Team members are David Dinius, Larry Lemler, Mark Martin and Larry Hall. The team will represent Marshall County at the district contest along with Argos which won second place.

    ROCHESTER - Margaret McConnell, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McConnell, has gone to Hollywood to take screen tests. Producers became interested in the girl when they saw her pictures. She was a commercial artist in Chicago.
