Eight-year-old Ethan Koshnick was the winner of the Beanie Baby Raffle Tree, raffled at the Festival of Trees. The tree, which contained more than 60 new, retired and rare Beanie Babies, was designed by the Party Shops Inc. of Warsaw.

Dean Stahl, 23, son of Chrystal S. Stahl, Pierceton, has been promoted to specialist fourth class in Germany. A radio repairman with the 50th infantry, 4th armored division, at Erlangen, he has been overseas a year. He's a graduate of Sidney High School and formerly worked for Litchfield Creamery.

Dean VanOsdol arrived recently in Warsaw from Indianapolis where he is enrolled at Indiana Dental College, to visit for the next two weeks with his mother, Mrs. Eugene Alleman, and other friends and relatives.
