Warsaw Community High School hosted a veteran's program Thursday, Nov. 3, with Margaret J. Ringenberg, 84, as featured speaker. Serving as a Women's Air Force Service Pilot (WASP) was a challenge. She joined the WASP's after receiving a telegram saying the Army Air Corps needed pilots, and, if interested, she was to report to Chicago. She loved to fly, and by that time, had her pilot's license for about a year. She would test new airplanes right off the assembly line and transport military personnel. "I had a real privilege to serve my country. And I got to do what I love."
