November 3 1999

    The Warsaw Wave U-12 boys soccer team traveled to Brownsburg on Halloween weekend to participate in the Brownsburg "Boo Fest." The boys competed against teams from Indiana and Illinois and came back to Warsaw with the first-place trophy. Team members were Kyle Boyd, Justin Evans, Steven Bradican, Jordan Sharp, Kyle Anderson, Nick Walmer, Griffin Fuller, Stuart Hodge. Also, Chas Simpson, Baxter Burnworth, Nate Salsgiver, Austin Evans, Nate Taylor, Ben Truman, Jason Scheuer and Justin Schroeder.

November 3 1984

    Retired and active teachers of the Alpha Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met at John Wong's recently and were privileged to have their special guests, Dr. and Mrs. Larry Overstreet. Dr. Overstreet, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw, who also teaches preachers to preach, presented the program on the subject of "communication."


50 Years Ago

November 3 1959

    Tri Kappas marked their 50th anniversary at a gala dinner in the Elks Club. Miss Rozella Ford and Mrs. Flint Bash were honored at the Tri Kappa party. They and eight other Warsaw women founded Alpha Lambda chapter in 1909.


75 Years Ago

November 3 1934

    Mrs. Flossie Zartman reports that she found 63 potatoes in one single hill on her farm west of this city. There were none smaller than a hen's egg. Mrs. Zartman also dug three hills of potatoes, which made one-half bushel.
