Deb Gilliam and Raeann Hart have been planning the Lakes Area Youth for Christ bowl-a-thon to be held at Gilliam Bowling Lanes Nov. 18. Teams from area churches will bowl to raise money for Youth for Christ and will collect pledges. The team that raises the most in pledges will receive a television, VCR and stand for their church; the runner-up, a VCR.
The Warsaw Kmart has been expanded to 90,000 square feet and is now one of the largest Kmart stores in northern Indiana. District manager is Dwight Hunady.

The first concert in this season’s Lakeland Civic Music Association series will be “Kaleidoscope” Oct. 17 in the Warsaw Community High School auditorium. An Edson Moyer cartoon was reprinted in the September issue of the Summy-Birchard Review. The accompanying article lauds the originality and personality of Mrs. E.A. Kaufman, president, and the imaginative planning of the Lakeland officers.
Officers for the Chamber of Commerce 1964-65 are Dr. Russell Heyde, president; Herman Jensen, vice president; Bruce Wright, treasurer; Albert Zimmerman, Jack Cluen, Charles Lamoree, Charles Holland, James Bell and George Lenke, directors. William Garrard, president this past year, will act in an advisory capacity to the board.
Everyone is talking about the beautiful hanging of red plastic flowers and greenery extending from a light pole on South Indiana Street outside Lake City Bank.

Bright colored lights are being erected throughout Warsaw’s business section and at all intersections by the street department. Lights are dragged out twice annually to light up the metropolis – for the street fair and at Christmas holidays.
Playtime Products executive, Bert Anderson, reports that the plant is now running at full capacity, employing nearly 300 people working in both day and night shifts.
Police warned boys in the east part of Warsaw to desist in going around the neighborhood flashing electric flash lamps at night.
Retired foreman of Your Daily Times mechanical department, George Bryer, is back visiting the gang. He now lives on a farm in Peru.[[In-content Ad]]
