   Kosciusko County Clerk Sharon Christner was awarded a 2002 DIPLOMA Certificate at the 44th Annual Conference of the Association of Indiana Counties. Christner earned her DIPLOMA Certification by accumulating 30 hours of education credit within two years. The certificate was presented during the Annual Conference held at the Radisson Hotel in Lake County recently.

    Warsaw Community School Corp. received a donation from Uniroyal in the form of a canoe. The canoe will be used at the freshman school’s new pool. J.A. Dobersch is factory manager at Uniroyals’s Warsaw plant, and Denny Holder is the director of the pool.

    Mr. and Mrs. Joe Metzger, of South Whitley, are enroute to Santiago, Chili, where Mr. Metzger will judge the swine division of the Santiago Agricultural and Livestock show.
    Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Williams, Warsaw, are on a two-weeks motor tour through the Smoky Mountains and Eastern Tennessee.

   Several neighbors and friends spent Monday evening at the home of Miss Tillie  Lambert of Winona Lake. The occasion was a surprise party for Miss Lambert who left Tuesday for New York City to spend the winter. A social evening was spent and refreshments were served.
